The Support Brokerage Community
The Support Brokerage Community represents a diverse group of people and organisations involved in Support Brokerage, Support Planning, Self-Directed Support, Strengths-Based Approaches and Individual Service Funds.
You can join the Support Brokerage Network in the following ways:
- As a Member – to have access to resources and ongoing updates
- As an Associate – to be recognised as a Support Broker with Imagineer and the Support Brokerage Network
- As an Organisation – on the Organisational Directory as an organisation committed to Self Directed Support
- Become a member of the Support Brokerage Network
- Become registered as an Associate Support Broker on the Support Brokerage Network
- Become registered as an Organisation
Members and Associates of the Support Brokerage Network include:
- People directing their own care and support
- People with lived experience
- Family members
- Independent Support Brokers
- Peer Support Brokers
- Community based Brokers or Support Brokerage agencies
- Social Workers trained as Support Brokers

1. Become a member of the Support Broker Network
Applying to become a member of the Support Broker Network does not take a long time, you need to complete the ‘Support Broker Network Member’ form which will only take a few minutes. A link to this form is provided at the bottom of the page.
The form requires a username, full name, email address and password – once submitted you will receive an email confirming your Membership to the Support Brokerage Network.

- You will receive Support Brokerage Network updates via blogs, articles and newsletters
- Opportunities to share and celebrate successes with other members of the Support Brokerage Network by Sharing content for the newsletters and sharing stories on our website
- Access to the Imagineer and Support Brokerage Network paper set
- Invitation to group mentoring sessions with other Support Brokers and Self Directed Support practitioners (a small fee is chargeable for this)
2. Become an Associate Support Broker of the Support Brokerage Network Directory
Becoming an Associate of the Support Broker Network provides a wider level of engagement with the Support Brokerage Network
Support Broker Associate requirements
The following criteria need to be met to become a member of the Support Brokerage Network:
- Completion of the Support Brokerage Network Support Brokerage accredited training (or equivalent)*
- A commitment to access appropriate mentoring via the Support Brokerage Network and Imagineer. You are required to attend a minimum of two group mentoring sessions each year and at least one individual mentoring session with either Founder and Director Liz Leach Murphy or Director Sarah.
- Current and appropriate insurance (Public liability and Professional indemnity)
- Holding a current and valid DBS check
- A signed copy of the Support Brokerage Network Associate Agreement
*accreditation of prior learning applies to membership requirements, for instance those wishing to become members who have lived experience of the health and social care systems or who hold a social work or health care professional qualification. It will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the Associate Support Broker application form and we can offer support to help you complete this, please get in touch info@imagineer.org.uk to access this support.

- Opportunity to receive referrals for Support Brokerage work via the network
- Priority access to training and events organised by the Support Brokerage Network and Imagineer
- Use of the Support Brokerage Network logo (either as a member or a partner organisation)
- Free access to the Imagineer and Support Brokerage Network templates
3. Register as an Organisation on the Support Brokerage Network Organisation Directory
Becoming registered as an Organisation on the Support Brokerage Network will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the registration form

- Receive updates via blogs, articles and newsletters

- Organisations will have a profile added to the Support Brokerage Organisational Directory
- Use of the Support Brokerage Network logo
- Free access to the Imagineer and Support Brokerage Network templates
Registration Fees
Whilst the Support Brokerage Network is in a stage of further development, registration is available free of charge until March 2023.
This period of time will enable the team at Imagineer to increase the reach of the network and also provide a time for people and organisations to experience the benefits of registration.
The registration fees set below will be introduced to all new and existing members as of 1st April 2023.
Associate Support Brokers
- Individuals (Associate Support Brokers) £60 per annum, which can be paid in monthly instalments of £5 per month
Organisations:
- Small organisations less than £500,000 turnover £150* per annum, which can be paid in monthly instalments of £12.50 per month
- Larger organisations more than £500,000 turnover £300* per annum, which can be paid in monthly instalments of £15 per month
