Monica – Support Brokerage

Imagineer supported me initially at a time of personal crisis, my brother, who has a learning disability, had just moved to my area and needed to have a new social care assessment and support package arranged quickly. With a family of my own and a full time job, and also needing to care for my mum, the support brokerage given by Liz at this time was invaluable – liaising with social care and support agencies on my behalf, supporting me with drawing up the right package of support for my brother, providing emotional support at a highly stressful time. Once my brother’s Direct Payments were in place, Imagineer helped me recruit my brother’s personal assistants (PAs) and put the systems in place for arranging payroll and other aspects of managing his PAs.

I cannot thank Imagineer enough for their support – it enabled me to stay in work during a very difficult year and I know that the support is there if I need it again. It has also helped my brother access the best possible support package and his quality of life has improved hugely.
