Background:

I have worked in adult social care since I was 18, this is where I first started off as a carer. 3 and a half years ago (April 2017) I joined Love to Care and for the past year I have developed my skills onto a care coordinator. I have taken on the role of a carer naturally, as a young child helping bring my brothers up, supporting my grandparents when poorly and now living with my nan.

Background:I have worked within Adult Social Care for 10 years, in various roles from Community Carer, Care Coordinator, Brokerage Manager in a prime provider commissioning model, and now founder and leader of an Outstanding Rated organisation Love2Care Devon – established in 2017. Growing up, I supported my family to care for a loved one, for many years – looking back I would have been classed as what they now call a Young Carer.
