This will also be helpful if you are supporting someone else to vote.
Local elections are coming up on the 4th of May 2023.
You may have heard about the new requirement to provide voter ID when registering to vote.
For many people in our communities, this is not as easy as you may think.
Forms of acceptable ID include a photo driving license or a passport.
Some people do not have either of these documents. The electoral commission has developed a ‘voter authority certificate’ which you can apply for if you do not have any of the acceptable forms of ID.

The deadline to apply for voter ID is Tuesday 25th April at 5pm.
